Mr. Franz Kline

Franz Kline is an artist with a painting in every major museumin the world. He helped change the course of art history by bringing the focus from Europe to American abstract painting.
 
He co-founded the New York School of Arts with hi fellow painters William De Kooning, Jackson Pollock, and others.
 
Kline designed the Gachtin Bambil Yearbook in 1931. He earned a place in the Museum of Modern Arts exhibit which toured Europe in 1958.
 
He painted the "An Artist's View of Lehighton" at the Lehighton American Legion and his painting "Mahoning" was selected by the U.S. Postal Service to be placed on the 32 cent stamp for the American Arts Series.
